Find your size

Every Longstone boot is made to order in Nicosia, in sizes EU 38 to 48. There is no stock to swap from the shelf, so the right size is worth five minutes before you order. Here is how we measure, what the sizes mean, and what to do if you are in doubt.

Measure your foot

You need a sheet of paper, a wall, a pencil and a tape measure.

1. Do it in the evening. Feet are at their largest at the end of the day.
2. Wear the sock you will wear in the boot: a work sock or a technical hunting sock, not a thin cotton one.
3. Put the sheet on a hard floor against the wall. Stand on it with your heel touching the wall, weight on that foot.
4. Mark the tip of your longest toe. It is not always the big toe.
5. Measure from the edge of the sheet to the mark, in centimetres.
6. Do the same with the other foot. Use the longer measurement.

Do not add anything to the figure: the table below already allows for the sock and the room your toes need.

The table

Foot length is in centimetres (Mondopoint, the system our data sheets use). The cm column is indicative: it is the standard correspondence, not a measurement of our lasts.

We make whole sizes only, 38 to 48, on every model.

How each line fits

Chainsaw boots (CERVINO Level 2 and Level 3, DAKOTA, DOLOMITE TETON): upper 23 cm high, 2.6 mm Perwanger leather, cut-resistant layers in the upper.

Hunting boots (HUNTER EVO, HUNTER DAKAR, TREK HUNT): 2.4 mm full-grain leather, lighter and more flexible than a chainsaw boot.

Outdoor boots (ALTESINA, HIKER): the lightest upper, 2.0 mm Perwanger leather, 17 cm high.

All models have the same insole: breathable felt with 3.5 mm memory foam. It is removable.

The sock

A technical sock is part of the fit. For chainsaw and hunting boots we measure and recommend sizes assuming a mid-weight work or hunting sock. A thin cotton sock in a boot sized for a thick one leaves the heel loose.

If the size is wrong

You have 14 days from delivery to return the boots, without giving a reason: full refund of what you paid, return postage at your cost. Try them on indoors, on a clean floor, as you would in a shop. To change size, return the pair and place a new order in the size you need. Details on the Returns and exchanges page.

Made on your foot
